Shaft Drillers International Headquarters is a four-story corporate office building in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania. OMNI Associates – Architects provided architectural design services for the 40,000-square-foot facility.

The owner wanted the new headquarters to create a comfortable and efficient workplace while reflecting a traditional architectural style. OMNI responded with a classic exterior featuring masonry and stone. Inside, raised wood paneling, wood coffered ceilings, and marble flooring continue the traditional character.

The building includes more than 70 private offices to support SDI’s employees and corporate leadership. Serviceable balconies on each floor also provide access to outdoor space.

Additional amenities support employees throughout the workday. A central lunch room provides a shared gathering space. The facility also includes a fitness center with locker rooms and showers.

Together, these features create a professional workplace that balances function, comfort, and traditional design. The headquarters also provides SDI with a corporate environment that reflects the company’s identity and supports its daily operations.

OMNI delivered the $6 million project through a design-build approach. Shaft Drillers International Headquarters was completed in 2011.

The project team also earned recognition for the building’s structural steel. The West Virginia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors presented a 2011 Excellence in Construction Award in the Other Specialty Construction Less Than $1 Million category.
